TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL ENDS ITS TRIUMPHANT AUSTRALIAN TOUR THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 2, 2025

After a remarkable twenty-two-month journey across Australia, TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL is set to conclude its triumphant tour with a final performance at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre this Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Produced by Paul Dainty AO/TEG DAINTY in special collaboration with Stage Entertainment, Tali Pelman, and the late Tina TurnerTINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL held its Australian premiere at Sydney’s Theatre Royal in May 2023, the production has captivated and entertained over 780,000 theatregoers in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Melbourne.

With record-breaking box office sales and standing ovations every night, the musical has garnered critical acclaim. The Herald Sun declared, “TINA slays,” while The Age described it as leaving audiences “on their feet, as ecstatic as if they were at one of the legend’s live concerts,” and Time Out celebrated its “dazzling, high-voltage celebration of resilience and rock ‘n’ roll.”

TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL tells a comeback story like no other. It follows the journey of a woman who defied the limits of age, gender, and race to become the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. A celebration of resilience and triumph over adversity, TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL has captured hearts in Australia with its powerful storytelling, electrifying performances, and iconic music. Featuring 23 hit songs—including “Simply The Best,” “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” “Nutbush City Limits,” and “Proud Mary”—this unforgettable production pays tribute to one of music’s greatest legends.

It was recently announced that TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL has received multiple nominations at the 42nd Annual Green Room Awards, marking an exciting conclusion to its national tour. Recognitions include Outstanding Artist – Leading Role nominations for Ruva Ngwenya and Jochebel Ohene MacCarthy, Outstanding Direction – Stage for Phyllida Lloyd, Outstanding Design for Campbell Young and Associates’ Harold Mertens & Wouter Somers, Outstanding Direction in Music for Christina Polimos and Outstanding Production. These nominations highlight the production’s achievements and artistic excellence.
