Nothing brings fans together quite like a powerful unified chant such as “STAYC girls, it’s going down!”. Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J, collectively known as STAYC, radiated electrifying energy on the Festival Hall stage in Melbourne, Australia for the first time on July 5th.
From their stunning outfits to their undeniable stage presence, STAYC had their adoring fans, affectionately known as SWITH, completely captivated. Clad in sleek black with dazzling embellishments (almost like diamonds), the girls kicked off their 2025 STAYC TOUR [STAY TUNED] in Melbourne with unmatched energy.
It was like being hit right in the feels when the first song filled the venue. ‘1 Thing’ had fans screaming with excitement as the opening number set the tone for the rest of the unforgettable evening.
All the hits were present including, ‘BEAUTIFUL MONSTER’, ‘So Bad’, ‘STEREOTYPE’, ‘RUN2U’ and ‘ASAP’.
Just like their group performances, STAYC’s solo and subunit stages were equally captivating. One standout moment was the bright and bubbly performance of ‘Bubble’ which was complete with a playful outfit change and bubble guns that turned the stage into a colourful playground. The set was filled with pure joy and charm as the STAYC members then moved around to warmly interact with their devoted Melbourne audience throughout the tune.
Between each performance, the members took every MC moment to pour out their love and gratitude for the crowd. They expressed how truly thankful they were to finally meet and perform for their Australian SWITH. This was a dream come true that left both fans and the K-Pop idols emotional and anticipating for more future events.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more special, STAYC had their audience take part in a coordinated lightstick Mexican wave, transforming the Melbourne venue into an active ocean of synchronized lightstick magic. This was a moment that will forever be ingrained in the memories of Aussie SWITH and STAYC.
The amount of love STAYC received from their SWITH was returned tenfold. During one of the mid-show talk segments, they shared how much they cherished seeing fans fully immersed in the moment: no phones, no silence, just undeniable bliss and unfiltered energy. One fan stood out by turning their attendance into a solo concert of their own, dancing and singing along with every beat. The members noticed this and were visibly touched.
The beautiful connection had STAYC gifting this dedicated fan with a one-of-a-kind gift: a GoPro recording filmed by the members themselves during the second half of the concert. Not only did this fan leave with unforgettable memories, but with a tangible memento of the 2025 STAYC TOUR [STAY TUNED]. In the world of K-pop, encores are a cherished moment where idols connect more intimately with their fans one last time. STAYC made it unforgettable by not only paying tribute to Australian music with a fun and upbeat cover of Sia’s ‘Cheap Thrills’, but they also got Melbourne fans gleefully cheering along during the chorus.
Adding to the magic, the STAYC members changed into more casual outfits that gave a playful nod to the Aussie outback, with their microphones adorned in beloved native wildlife, making them look like stylish rangers on stage. The encore ended on an emotional high, with the final song fan track ‘Stay WITH Me’ that capturing the deep bond between STAYC and their SWITH.
