UK pop sensations Sugababes have announced their Australian tour this January, presented by Untitled Group. The chart topping trio will perform across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane following their upcoming performance at this year’s Beyond The Valley festival.
Originally formed in 1998, Sugababes have told one of the most spectacular stories of the modern pop era. The trio entered the scene with their impeccable harmonies and debut single ‘Overload‘ and quickly followed up with a series of iconic hits including ‘Push The Button‘, ‘Round Round‘, ‘About You Now’, ‘Too Lost In You‘ among many others. Fast forward two decades and the original line-up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy arrived back in full force becoming the talk of the summer.
The group has undeniably positioned themselves at the forefront of current culture. In 2023, they made Boiler Room history with their performance at the Colour Factory in East London, which has since garnered over a million views on YouTube. This year they’ve continued their resurgence by collaborating with one of Europe’s most in-demand DJ duos, DJ Heartstring, while UK producers Two Shell paid homage to their classic hit “Round Round” in their own track, aptly titled “Round.” Sugababes impact was further solidified at Glastonbury this year, where overwhelming demand from fans led to their stage being closed.
Undeniably one of the most successful British girl bands in the 21st century, Sugababes have had a journey filled with extraordinary achievements. With six UK Number One singles, millions of global sales, multiple multi-platinum albums, their legacy is firmly cemented in global pop history.
The Australian tour will begin in Melbourne on Friday, 3 January at Festival Hall, followed by a performance in Sydney on Saturday, 4 January at Enmore Theatre, and will conclude in Brisbane on Sunday, 5 January at Fortitude Music Hall. Sugababes will also be performing at Beyond The Valley festival this year on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday 31st January.
