Yuki Chiba (千葉雄喜) has cemented himself as a force not to be reckoned with. Through his bold collaborations, music releases and unmistakable stage presence, Yuki is breaking one record after the next.
Before we had Yuki Chiba, we had KOHH. Closing that chapter and resetting his creative direction, Yuki returned with a renewed identity while keeping his uncompromising edge that made him one of Japan’s most influential hip-hop artists. Long before the rebrand, Yuki had already established himself as a music pioneer and now he is pushing the genre further into mainstream and building a reputation that has reached well beyond Japan.
Yuki opened the night with tracks that contrasted the aggressive trap sound. Leaning into a more ambient and experimental direction during his tenure, he showcased how far his artistry has evolved while proving this new chapter is more than a rebrand.
Yuki eased into the night with ‘Moraimono (もらいもの/Gifts)’ before greeting Melbourne patrons with a short but sincere introduction and thanks. Following with ‘Shinzou (心臓/Heart)’ where following his directive, Melbourne fans raised their flashlights and turned the Melbourne venue into a sea of lights. Keeping the opening deliberate and contemporary, Yuki continued with tracks including ‘Jiyuu (自由/Freedom)’, ‘Kimi no Moto ni (君の元に/To Where You Are)’ and ‘Wadachi (轍/Rut)’.
Keeping the autotune flowing from the previous track, Yuki took a moment to thank fans for showing up on a Thursday night before shifting the room’s energy with ‘Omote (重てえ/Heavy)’. The crowd responded instantly, bouncing to the beat and singing along to the chorus as Yuki moved across the stage with ease.
Making sure everyone became part of the show, he had Melbourne fans create heart emojis during ‘Heart Emoji’ before smoothly slipping in a playful reminder about his available merch. Continuing his casual conversation with his fans, Yuki shared that just the day before the show, he had picked up a jacket and beanie leading neatly into ‘Shinpin Muji T’.
Ramping up the night, Yuki brought out fan favourites including ‘Mahiiya (まーいいや/Oh Well)’, ‘BANK’ and ‘Shobai Hanjo (商売繁盛/Business Prosperity)’. The energy, now unmatched, shifted with the Melbourne crowd in sync to every beat, while reactions were loud and proud. It is no understatement to say that Yuki delivered a night that felt memorable for both longtime fans and those seeing him live for the first time.
With the packed Corner Hotel venue energy already riding high, Yuki reminded everyone why he remains a pioneer in the hip-hop space. Calling out, “俺たち何え？(Oretachi nan e?/Who are we?)” fans immediately answered back “テーム友達 (Team Tomodachi)”. Without missing a beat, the exchange exploded into his viral hit ‘テーム友達 (Team Tomodachi)’. Yuki Chiba closed the night with his current anthem, ‘Annyeonghaseyo (アニョハセヨ/Hello)’ turning the venue into one last triumphant and giant chant.
Proudly presented by KOHAI Oceania, Yuki Chiba AUS Shows 2026 Melbourne concert took place at the Corner Hotel on June 11, 2026. The tour will head next to Sydney’s Manning Bar on Sunday 14th of June, where the Australian tour will conclude.
